Wedding Ready Skin

Updated: Mar 7, 2021

Of all the things you do to get ready for your wedding, getting your skin in great shape should be top of the list. Paint shows up best on a clean canvas. Updos are most successful on clean, dry hair. Make up looks best on clean, clear skin. It's all about the prep. The months leading up to your wedding is the perfect time to get your skin looking fabulous. Yes, I said months. The truth is, just like weight loss, there is no quick fix to skin issues, and often the solution may not be what you think.

Time after time, women sit in my make up chair and the first thing they do is tell me what's wrong with their face. A breakout, acne, scarring, pigmentation, dark circles, dryness, rough texture. You name it - you are your strongest critic. The key to having a great make up application on the day of your wedding is to do all you can in the months prior to get your skin in shape. We've got the long lasting make up game down (see the blog posts about airbrush make up and red lipstick), but the best thing you can do is take control of your skin care regimen months in advance. Then, we won't have to use as much make up to cover you up and you can look like your natural, beautiful self on your big day.

The secret to great skin is two-fold. Part one is a great skin care regimen with advanced treatments to go along with it. Part two is your diet. Yes, it's true, the food you eat can have a huge effect on the look of your skin. As more and more research emerges about gut health, the micro-biome and how food can affect the skin, the connection between diet and skin health is plainly obvious.

This is why I created the Prep*Pamper*Primp program at The Pin Up Girl. I want to be able to help clients address issues before the big day - so you look and feel your best. Hop over to the Skin page to see all that we have to offer. As a holistic skin care specialist, acne specialist and certified medical esthetician - I have programs and treatments designed for every skin care need. I deliver results based treatments in a holistic way.

So you see, there are things you can do to improve the look of your skin as you prepare for your wedding. It's so worth the investment of your time and money. You wear your skin everyday. It's a marathon not a sprint when it comes to skin health and beauty. Take this time before the biggest day of your life to get your skin right. You won't regret it!!!
